Bellerin, a die-hard Betis fan along with the rest of his family, is keen to secure a move back to his hometown club, and is prepared to take a substantial hit of his reported ÂŁ100k a week salary at Arsenal.

With one year remaining on his agreement, Arsenal are keen to receive a transfer fee for the Spaniard, or include Bellerin in a potential swap deal with for Nabil Fekir. Betis, on the other hand are pushing for a free transfer given the player is deemed surplus in North London.

The full back is not short of admirers this summer with a host of clubs from Serie A also registering their interest in the player. However, Bellerin has gone on record confirming his intentions to return to Seville and Real Betis:

“I have made my position clear to both clubs, now we have two months to get the best deal for all three parties.” Bellerin told Betis TV:

“I have always said, I made an effort to come here and I am willing to make every effort to keep it going because it is my home and I am happy.”

“It is also true that I had very nice moments in London, in England. Arsenal has given a lot, the opportunity to be a professional. If I leave, it will be difficult, but hopefully everything goes as we want.”

Bellerin has spent nearly a decade in North London with Arsenal, making 183 appearances and winning three F.A Cups.
