Legendary midfielder Xabi Alonso has left his role with the Real Sociedad B side in search of first official first team role.
Alonso has impressed during his 3-year stint within Sociedad’s youth team set up, winning promotion to the Segunda Division last season, and overseeing the progression of a number of youth players through to the Sociedad first team.
Alonso was heavily linked to the vacant Borussia Mönchengladbach role in March 2021, although choose to sign a new one-year extension with the San Sebastian club.
Having gained crucial experience in playing days from coaches Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti. Alonso is now set to start his career in the dugout, with teams in Spain, German and England registering their interest.
