A mass player exodus is now expected at Bordeaux this summer following the 5-time champions disastrous 2021-22 campaign. Les Girondins finished rock bottom of Ligue 1, winning a miserable 6 league games.

Onana 22, was one of the few performers for Bordeaux last season, with the defence midfielder impressing during his 22 league appearances.

The midfielder now looks set to move clubs again having only signed for Bordeaux in 2021. His breakout season seemingly impressed European sides with Milan and Atalanta both registered their interest in the player. Bundesliga sides Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt are also reported to be keen on recruiting the Cameroon international.

Valued at €10 million, Onana’s future looks set to be resolved in the coming weeks. First team stars Alberth Elis and Ui-jo Hwang are also expected to follow Onana in leaving Bordeaux, as the club look to raise funds and reduce their wage bill.
