- Christophe Galtier has left his role with Nice to take up the head coach position at rivals PSG
- The Frenchman will be reuniting with PSG sporting director Luis Campos for the second time following their partnership at Lille
- PSG have so far signed Portuguese midfielder Vitinha and renewed Kylian Mbappeās contract
Christophe Galtier is now officially the new head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, bringing an end to weeks of intense speculation.
According to reports in France the tactician will be officially unveiled next week, and could even take training sessions on Monday with a number of first team players returning for pre-season.
The Frenchman will be reuniting with PSGās new sporting director Luis Campos, the pair enjoyed a fruitful relationship at Lille, securing the 2021-21 Ligue 1 title ahead of their new employers.
Galtier, 55, will sign a 2-year-deal on Monday, interestingly without the option for a third year. The hierarchy in Paris are no doubt mindful of handing out long-term contracts, only Laurent Blanc has survived longer than two years in the PSG managerial hot-seat since 2013.
PSG have so far had a relatively quiet transfer window by their standards, with the arrival of Vitinha from FC Porto being the only signing. The renewal of Kylian Mbappeās contract may suggest a quieter than usual window for the Parisians.
