The Japanese international has moved to Monaco for €15 million plus €3 million in potential add-ons as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The former Red Bull Salzburg attacker has failed to nail down a starting spot under Jurgen Klopp since his arrival in 2020.

Minamino, spent the second half of the 2020-21 season on loan at Southampton, whilst this season has seen the midfielder almost exclusively used in the League Cup competition.

Following the sale of star midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni to Real Madrid, Monaco will be looking to make a number of adjustments to their squad for the coming season. Minamino is expected to be the first of several to arrive at the Stade Louis II stadium, as the club prepares for their return to the Champions League.
